1 in 4 people experience mental distress in their lives. The chances are, you, or someone you know will have had, or will be experiencing mental distress right now. At Brent Mind, mental distress is not just schizophrenia or manic depression, it's also eating disorders, depression after the death of someone close, work related stress, phobias and panic attacks.

2. It's your chance to be part of one of the largest Local Mind Associations in the UK
Brent Mind is affiliated to National Mind, but is also an independent registered charity and company limited by guarantee. Our turnover is approximately
£2 million and we employ 29 staff and over 60 volunteers. You'll be part of a local organisation with the benefits of being part of a much bigger network.

3. It's your chance to use your current skills, knowledge and experience and, with ongoing training and support, develop new ones
Brent Mind is committed to having a highly skilled and motivated workforce delivering high quality and responsive services. Show us your potential and we'll do our best to develop it. For example, our Staff Development Policy allows a number of employees each year to apply for the opportunity of day release study or for an award towards the cost of learning materials. We are investor in people.

Every employee at Brent Mind is supported from day one, starting with comprehensive induction and probationary programmes. Your line manager will continue to meet with you for regular supervision for the duration of your employment.

For instance Brent Mind offers a full Management Training programme to all senior and middle managers as well as to staff that show potential to become managers.

Living in London you'll obviously you'll want your journey to and from work to be as easy as possible. Our projects are all based in areas with good public transport links. Our head office is on the Jubilee line with only a 20-minute journey into the West End. Brent is also home to some of the best Asian and African food you'll find in London!
