What is Mind Map?
Mind Map is a project set up for young people in Brent
and aims to raise awareness and promote positive attitudes
towards mental health
- We work in various schools
and youth settings across the borough, with young
people aged 11+
- We work with teachers and
youth professionals to include effective mental health
promotion using messages designed by and for young
people
- We help young people deal
with stressful situations and make use of available
services across the borough
How does Mind Map work?
We identify young people (peer educators) to design
and deliver training. We also incorporate team-building
activities to build their confidence and enhance their
learning. Mind Map trains young people to deliver sessions
in schools and youth settings. These include;
- Bullying, Suicide, Self harm,
Eating Disorders, Drugs and Alcohol, Confidence &
